At Summit Malibu we have intensive individual therapy as well as many different group therapy topics. Three times a week we have one of the best and well respected yoga teachers come to our facility to work on combining exercise with relaxation of the mind. At Summit Malibu we offer massages to our clients, which we believe helps them relax when they are going through such a difficult process in their lives. Our program offers art therapy, acupuncture, a gym membership as well as many other activities that work on both the mental and physical health of our patients.

Each member of our team at Summit Malibu has had experience working in the field of addiction. This allows all of our clients to feel comfortable talking and confiding in each person that works at our facility. At Summit Malibu's Malibu Drug Rehab we have a three stage model in our approach to treatment. We have primary care, extended care and continuing care. In our primary care stage clients are stabilized in terms of their medical and psychiatric conditions. They are detoxed when this is necessary and a treatment program is then developed based on the client’s specific needs. A client then goes through an intensive thirty day program and at Summit Malibu our clients often extend their stay past these thirty days. After a client finishes the primary care stage they are then encouraged to participate in our extended care program. This allows individuals to reintegrate back into daily life, while using all of the tools they have learned during their stay at Summit Malibu. Our Malibu Drug Rehab believes that each client must continue to work on their sobriety every day and at Summit Malibu we believe it is our job to continue to work with each person that has been through our program well after their initial treatment at our program.
