Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT)
Under the auspices of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) in the US Department of Health and Human Services, CSAT is Congressionally mandated to expand the availability of effective treatment and recovery services for alcohol and drug problems.

CSAT National Treatment Referral 24-hour Hotline (800-662-HELP)
Operated by the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT), a division of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), the hotline offers information and referral to people seeking treatment programs and other assistance.

Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP)
CSAP, under the auspices Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration in the US Department of Health and Human Services, provides national leadership in the development of policies, programs, and services to prevent the onset of illegal drug use, to prevent underage alcohol and tobacco use and to reduce the negative consequences of using substances.

The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence
Founded in 1944 by Marty Mann, the first woman to find long-term sobriety in Alcoholics Anonymous, the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (NCADD) provides education, information, help and hope to the public. It advocates prevention, intervention and treatment through offices in New York and Washington, and a nationwide network of Affiliates.

National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA)
Part of the National Institutes of Health, the NIDA is leading the nation in bringing the power of science to bear on drug abuse and addiction.
